B&NES Schools Table Tennis Competition winners

Congratulations to the boys' table tennis teams, winners of this year's B&NES Schools Competition.

The Ralph Allen 'A' team successfully defeated some very strong challenges from the St Gregory's and St Mark's teams. Harry Fairburn, Jake Barrington, Stan Cranch and Ryan Cordier all performed at their best, winning the most games and earning the most points, becoming champions for this year and qualifying for the county finals.

The Ralph Allen 'B' and 'C' teams also competed in a separate competition versus the St Mark's 'B' and 'C's finishing in first and second place respectively.

For most of the Ralph Allen players this was their first competitive sports fixture representing the school. Some great personal performances and teamwork were on show. Students were challenged and stretched to achieve their potential.  The matches were an excellent experience for all who took part, and superb final results. Well done to everyone who took part.

Special thanks goes to Mr Steve Leonard at St Mark's School, who organised and ran this event that gave so many students the opportunity to play competitive table tennis.
