Bath Primary Robotics Festival 10 July 2018

We were delighted to host 65 Year 4 and 5 students from Batheaston, Combe Down, Moorlands, St Martins Garden, St Philips, Weston, Widcombe and Winsley Primary schools.

Enthuisiastic students spent the day configuring Lego robots to take part in the 6th Primary Lego Robotics Festival in missions and score points with the help of 22 Ralph Allen student mentors who had prepared for this project during their weekly after school Lego Club.

The aims of the day were:

  1. To introduce students to the concept of Robotics (no prior knowledge needed)
  2. To give students hands-on experience of using the latest Lego Robotics EV3 kits
  3. To introduce Teachers / TAs to the skills that can be developed through using Lego Robotics and opportunities for introduction back in school

Congratulations to:

Overall robot performance Prize  – Batheaston

Individual points score – St Martins Garden

Team work and effort Prize – Combe Down
