Sixth Form Open Evening - Thursday 11 November, 6-8pm (Details TBC)

Our Whole School Open Evening will be taking place on Thursday 23 September. This event is open to parents of year 6 children who are looking to apply for a place with us in Year 7 in September 2022. In order to manage the numbers and to ensure the evening is safe for all in attendance, parents need to book tickets and the event will be capped at 600 people. Once you have booked, a ticket will be emailed to you in the following days. It is essential that you bring your ticket with you on arrival. If you fail to bring your ticket, we will unfortunately be unable to let you in.

We would be grateful if all adults and children attending could wear a face covering when they enter the building (this is not compulsory). We would also appreciate if you could complete a lateral flow test the day before the event.

This event is provided to help the year 6 children and their parents come to a decision about which secondary school they would like to go to before the October application deadline. Therefore we ask that any younger students attend our Open Evening next year.

To help ensure that we can welcome as many families as possible and do this safely, we ask that only ONE parent and child from each household attend the evening. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate additional children and adults this year.

The evening will start at 6pm, so parents can start arriving from 5.45pm. Parking is available onsite with additional car parking available (venue TBC). There will be two presentations from the Headteacher at 6.15pm and 7.15pm. Once you have booked your place, your ticket will be emailed to you confirming which presentation time you have been allocated.

Alongside the presentations, the school site will be open for you to tour with our current students, meet our staff members and ask them questions, visit individual curriculum areas and sample our delicious school lunches.

Which entrance should I use?

If your presentation slot is at 6.15pm, please enter via Main Reception and head straight to the Main Hall. You will then tour the school after this time. If your presentation slot is 7.15pm, please enter at the Sixth Form Lee Centre from 5.45pm to tour the school and head to the Main Hall from 7pm. (Both entrances will be clearly signposted.)

Where can I park?

Please park in the main school car park or the overflow car park, which will be either the Sulis ground or BMI clinic. This is TBC.

I have booked but not yet received my ticket

We will send the tickets to the email address you provide on the booking system, on Monday 20 September. This will have your presentation talk time on it.

What if I don't get a ticket?

Please don't worry if you have missed out on a ticket. There will be a chance to attend our Open Morning on Tuesday 28 September. We will prioritise parents and children who didn't manage to attend the Open Evening. Alteratively, you can watch our wonderful Open Evening video here which will give you a fantastic oversight of the school and our values.

Will refreshments be available?

Yes, refreshments will be made available from our new dining hall which will be samples of a school lunch menu.

Hopefully the above information is clear and provides you with the information you need. However if you have any further questions or queries, please email RAS-admissions@ralphallenschool.com.
