Teacher of Mathematics

0.8 to full time position

We are seeking to appoint a passionate and motivated mathematics teacher.

Our results are a testament to our team – in 2019, 63% of our A2 Mathematicians received A*-A grades. We are consistently in the top 10% of schools nationally for A Level Maths. Our GCSE results are also strong, with 75% achieving grades 9-4 in 2019.

The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to support a range of extracurricular Maths activities, including Maths Club, Chess Club, the National Cipher Challenge and KS4 Additional Maths.

Support Staff Vacancies

Lunchtime Support Assistant

£9.36 per hour

Monday – Friday 12:30pm – 2:15pm

8.75 hours per week, term time only

Do you have what it takes to join our friendly and dedicated team of Lunchtime Supervisors?

Lunchtime is a really important part of the day so we want to appoint somebody who is keen to make a difference to a child’s experience at school.  You should enjoy working with children and understand how to provide for their needs in a positive and caring manner. 

Reliability, flexibility and confidentiality are crucial qualities required for this post.

No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be given.

Exam Invigilators

£9.36 per hour

Variable hours

We are looking to expand our team of Invigilators to help and support our Examination’s team.  You will be employed on a casual basis to supervise students taking both mock and external exams, as necessary throughout the school year, with the period between mid-May until the end of June (not including half-term) being a peak time in our calendar.  Hours are variable depending upon the exam timetable.

No experience in the role is required, as full training will be given.  Experience of working in a school or with young people would be an advantage. You will be professional and flexible, with good spoken and written English. You will be reliable and possess a calm but firm approach. You will be able to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative as you will play a key role in upholding the integrity and conduct of the examination process in accordance with official regulations and Ralph Allen School exam policy.

Interviews will be held by mutual agreement.

Successful candidates MUST be available for full training on Thursday 30 April 2020 and for external examinations from 11 May to 12 June (excluding week commencing 25 May).
