that your students can participate.

Thank you.

The next session for Allied Healthcare Mentor's NHS Virtual Work Experience Programme is this Sunday 6th November. This programme is for students in years 10/S3/NI11 - 13/S6/NI14 considering a career in healthcare. We encourage students to register as soon as possible for the next session this Sunday.

Students can register for Sunday’s session using this link:

We’ve also created a leaflet to distribute among your students, they’ll just need to scan the QR code to get to the registration page:

Health Education England’s discovery report on virtual work experience programmes concluded that these programmes are a valuable adjunct to in-person work experience, especially in our current climate where in-person experiences remain extremely limited.

We kindly request you to forward this information to your students so that they can enrol on the programme in plenty of time before the UCAS deadline for NHS Health Careers in January.

This NHS Virtual Work Experience Programme is suitable for anyone considering:

- Nursing
- Midwifery
- Paramedicine
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Dietetics
- Radiography
- Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Speech and Language Therapy
- Pharmacy

Once they’ve registered, students will be emailed links to their virtual work experience portals.

All attendees are awarded a Work Experience Certificate for every session they complete. Those who complete the full 5-month programme will be awarded a Highly Commended Reference from the Presidents of Allied Healthcare Mentor.

During the work experience day, students will follow 2 patients from their initial presentation to recovery. They will gain a unique insight into how patients interact with a variety of healthcare professionals and what it’s like to work in an NHS multidisciplinary team.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with healthcare professionals throughout each day, allowing them to make informed decisions about their future careers.

Students can register throughout the 5-month programme using the link below. We recommend booking early to gain as much out of this programme as possible. Places are £10 a session to cover administrative and technological costs.

Please pass this information on to your students.
