RAS Science Week 2021: 1 – 5 March

RAS Science Week is an opportunity for students in KS3 to participate in the national theme ‘innovating for the future’.

This is a chance for us to reflect on the amazing inventions that help us in everyday life and design our own innovations for the future! We will be thinking about how inventions are sometimes developed in response to a problem, or even discovered by accident. Students will have the option to innovate within six key areas: construction, biodiversity, materials, medicine, transport and communication. Which area catches your interest?

To get you started, can you find out why:

- the biggest battery in the world is not a battery at all? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4OWMSG4Agg
