Car Sharing and HomeRun App
We are part of a pilot within B&NES to work with HomeRun - an innovative new app with a focus on strengthening school communities and improving journeys for all. B&NES are encouraging parents to use the app to lower the number of car journeys and to improve air quality across the region.
HomeRun increases journey sharing and allows journey monitoring. It also encourages independent travel and can help students ‘buddy up’ for walking to school. It provides a secure private network for our school. Please find HERE a digital leaflet with the key information regarding the app.
During the transition process you will be issued via email an activation link where you can sign up and register.
Please email email@example.com for further information.
The Sulis Club car park (next door to the school) is used for drop-offs and pick-ups to keep the school’s car park clear for buses.
Journey Sharing during Covid-19
HomeRun enables parents to see which year groups other parents’ children belong to. This information can be used to arrange journey sharing/ travel buddies whilst maintaining social bubbles.
If your using the HomeRun App to car share please follow the Government guidelines for doing so safely
- Open the windows, wear a face covering unless you are exempt and leave some seats free to create some space.
With Journey-Share you can see year groups of other parent’s children. Car share with families within the same bubble at school.
Remember to park away from school & walk the last distance to help create a stress-free & safer journey.
