Nitto ATP Finals 2019

14 lucky students visited the O2 Arena in London to attend the penultimate Nitto ATP Finals before the event moves to Turin in 2021.

The event is the year-end climax to the men's professional tennis season, featuring the world's best eight singles players and doubles teams as they battle it out for the last title of the season. The prize money is enormous with the singles winner taking home $1,354,000 and doubles team $204,000.

The O2 Arena's staging of the event was akin to a rock concert, with booming music and a giant dramatic light show lighting up the whole court as players entered the arena.

With our seats perched up in the upper tier our students had a great view of the world number 1 doubles team of JUAN SEBASTIAN CABAL and ROBERT FARAH in action followed by tennis legend and world number 1 RAFAEL NADAL play a truly classic match against the eventual winner of the whole competition STEFANOS TSITSIPAS.

A special trip that will hopefully inspire the students to continue playing their tennis and representing the school's tennis teams in the summer.
