Whole School Open Evening - Thursday 24 September 2026, 6-8pm 

Our Open Events are without doubt the best way to experience everything Ralph Allen School can offer your child. You will have the opportunity to meet staff, learn more about our outstanding pastoral care and facilities, and experience the unique atmosphere that creates equally unique individuals.

Please note that we do not offer individual tours of the school outside of our Open Evening.

Following the Open Evening, we will offer a limited number of smaller group tours specifically for Year 6 students. These tours will take place during the week following the Open Evening and must be booked through your child’s school.

Parents and carers will not be able to book these tours directly with the school.

The dates and further details for the Year 6 group tours will be published on this page shortly.

 

What time will the doors open? 

Our doors will open at 5.45pm to allow for a 6pm start 

 

Which Entrance should I use? 

If you would like to go to the first Head of school talk at 6pm, please enter via Main Reception. If you would like to attend the second talk at 7pm, please enter via the Sixth Form entrance. There will be staff members and directional signage in place. 

 

What time are the Head of school talks? 

The Head of school will be doing two presentations. The first one is at 6pm and the second is at 7pm. They will take place in the Main Hall. The evening can get extremely busy, so please arrive 10 minutes before each talk start time to ensure a seat in the hall. 

 

What will I be able to do during the evening? 

Tour the school – Explore our classrooms, specialist facilities, and learning spaces.
Meet our staff and students – Teachers will be on hand to talk about their subjects, and our students will be available to share their experiences of school life.
See learning in action – Many departments will have displays, activities, and examples of student work to showcase what happens in lessons.
Hear from our leadership team – There will be two Headteacher talks outlining our values, curriculum, and the opportunities we provide.
Find out about enrichment opportunities – Learn more about clubs, trips, sports, music, drama, and wider school life.
Ask questions – Whether about admissions, support, or day-to-day routines, staff will be available to help.

We aim to give you a real sense of what makes our school community special, and why we are proud of what our students achieve here.

 

Will refreshments be available? 

Aspens who supply our school food will be serving food samples in the Dining Hall for children and parents to try! 

 

Where can i park on the evening? 

The evening gets very busy. Parking will be available in the main school car park with over flow parking being provided at the Sulis Club and the Bath Clinic opposite. We will have car parking attendants on hand to direct you. 

 

What time does the evening end? 

The evening will end at 8pm. 

 

Is the evening busy? 

Yes, these evenings can get very busy particulary at the start of the evening so please do not feel you need to rush to the first talk. 

 

Will the Griffin Centre be open? 

Yes, the Griffin centre will be open and staffed during the evening. Please note students eligble for the Griffin Centre must have a diagnosis of ASC and an EHCP, all admissions are managed through the EHCP consultation process and the Local Authority.
